Editorial Policy
How we create content, earn revenue, and maintain the trust of our readers.
Last updated: February 2026
Editorial Independence
AutoSpecs Daily's editorial content is produced independently. Our writers and editors decide what to cover, what to recommend, and how to rate vehicles and products based on their own research and testing.
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. We never accept payment in exchange for positive coverage, and advertisers do not review articles before publication.
How We Earn Revenue
AutoSpecs Daily is a free resource. We earn revenue in two primary ways:
Display Advertising
We display ads through Google AdSense. These ads are served based on your browsing context and are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Ad placement decisions are made to minimize disruption to your reading experience.
Affiliate Links
Some articles contain affiliate links (primarily Amazon Associates). When you purchase a product through these links, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine which products we recommend—we recommend products we genuinely believe are worth your money, and disclose affiliate links clearly.
How We Create Content
Our content follows a consistent editorial process:
- 1Research: We gather data from manufacturer specifications, industry databases, government sources (NHTSA, EPA), and owner reports.
- 2Testing: Where applicable, we test vehicles in real-world conditions including city driving, highway cruising, and performance scenarios.
- 3Writing: Articles are written to be clear, accurate, and useful. We avoid unnecessary jargon and focus on practical information.
- 4Review: Content is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and editorial quality before publication.
- 5Updates: We revisit and update articles when new information becomes available, models change, or pricing shifts significantly.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If you spot an error in any of our content:
- 1. Email editor@autospecsdaily.com with the article URL and description of the error.
- 2. We will review the correction within 2 business days.
- 3. If confirmed, we will update the article and add a correction note where appropriate.
We do not silently alter published content. Material corrections are noted within the article.
Update Cadence
Different types of content follow different update schedules:
How Product Recommendations Work
When we recommend products (car accessories, tools, etc.), our selection is based on:
- - Product quality and user reviews
- - Value for money relative to alternatives
- - Relevance to the article topic
- - Availability and purchase accessibility
We do not accept payment to feature specific products. If an article contains affiliate links, this is disclosed at the top of the article.
